Possible Discovery of King Herod's Tomb
Archaeologists are hailing the possible discovery in Israel this week, of Herod's tomb. Click here to see the story on CNN.com (includes on-site video footage). Click here to read the story on the BBC. For those of you familiar with the New Testament, you know that Herod was the governor of Judea at the time that Jesus was born. He was the one who helped the Jews rebuild the temple in Jerusalem that stood in the days of Jesus (which according to John 2:20, took 46 years to build) and he was the man who sought to have Jesus killed when He was born, who "slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem" (See Matt 2:2,13,16).
