The Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA) was started by Ellen G. White in the United States in the nineteenth century and continues to this day. While holding to many Biblical teachings, the SDA Church has strayed from the Bible by insisting that:
– Christ's atonement for sins was incomplete
– Jesus Christ is Michael the Archangel
– Christians must be baptized and observe a Saturday sabbath in order to be saved
– There is no Hell
– The soul is not conscious between death and the resurrection of the body
I am always asked about the Seventh-day Adventist church and am pleased to say that I've found a great DVD on the topic. This hard-hitting, 50 minute long eye-opening documentary explores the teaching of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, its origins, and the changes which have occurred throughout the years. It examines the claims of the religion's founder, the late "prophetess" Ellen G. White, and compares her unique beliefs with Biblical truth. As you watch the DVD, you will meet a number of former high-ranking church leaders, many of them fourth generation members, and discover what happened when they embarked on a journey to uncover the truth about their organization. You will be shocked by what they found.
